Abstract

Adequate anesthesia can be achieved in all patients undergoing liposuction using tumescent local anesthesia exclusively. Adequate anesthesia is achieved with a maximum concentration of lidocaine in the tumescent solution of 500 mg/L. Using maximum lidocaine concentration in tumescent solution of 500 mg/L allows the infusion of a large volume of tumescent solution, without risking lidocaine toxicity.
