Abstract
In manual liposuction according to the Coleman technique, using 10 mL syringes, the relationship between the position of the plunger inside the syringe and the negative pressure inside the syringe is not to be underrated. Pulling the plunger the whole way out might accelerate the operative procedure, but also will almost quadruplicate the negative pressure on the aspirated adipose tissue with possible negative effect on the viability.
