Zusammenfassung

Ein zunehmender Anteil an Organisationen erkennt einen Vorteil darin, über die klassischen Berufslebensphasen hinauszudenken und für ihre erfahrenen Leistungsträger eine Weiter- oder Wiederbeschäftigung im eigentlichen Ruhestand mitzugestalten. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Charakteristika von beruflichen Laufbahnen im Ruhestand und von Ruheständlern, die sich für eine Silver Career entscheiden. Ein Überblick über relevante Theorien und organisationale Voraussetzungen für die Laufbahngestaltung im Ruhestand liefert Ansatzpunkte für die erfolgreiche Gestaltung von Silver Careers.
