Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit einer primären oder sekundären malignen Erkrankung des Peritoneums haben in Abhängigkeit des Primärtumors oder der zugrunde liegenden Histologie eine gute Prognose, wenn chirurgische Therapiemaßnahmen in das Behandlungskonzept integriert werden können. Die zytoreduktive Chirurgie (CRS) hat das Ziel, makroskopisch sichtbare Tumoren nahezu komplett zu entfernen. Hierbei sind Multiorganresektionen keine Seltenheit. Es stellt sich die Frage, ob auch für ältere Patienten mit diesem Vorgehen ähnlich gute Ergebnisse erzielt werden können.
