Zusammenfassung
Die Neuroendoskopie nimmt in der Therapie der Liquorzirkulationsstörungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen einen äußerst wichtigen Stellenwert ein. Das Ziel der Neuroendoskopie ist es, einerseits Implantate zu vermeiden und andererseits Implantate so einfach wie möglich zu gestalten. Darüber hinaus bietet die Neuroendoskopie auch bei Hirntumorerkrankungen in Verbindung mit einem Hydrozephalus die Möglichkeit der diagnostischen Probeentnahme und sogar die Entfernung von kleineren Tumoren in Verbindung mit der Behandlung des Hydrozephalus selbst. Bei Arachnoidalzysten, die einen Hydrozephalus verursachen, stellt die Endoskopie eine sinnvolle Alternative zur Shuntanlage und mikrochirurgischen Technik dar.
