Zusammenfassung
Parallel zur steigenden Zahl bariatrischer Operationen steigt auch die Notwendigkeit von Revisions- und Redo-Eingriffen. Wesentliche Gründe für diese Eingriffe sind verfahrensspezifische Komplikationen und unzureichende Gewichtsabnahme oder erneuter Gewichtsanstieg. Vor einem operativen Revisionseingriff ist eine gründliche Diagnostik sowie das Ausschöpfen konservativer Behandlungsmaßnahmen notwendig. Bei der Planung des operativen Vorgehens sollte sorgfältig geprüft werden, ob eine Revision des Primärverfahrens oder eine Konversion des operativen Verfahrens (Redo) erfolgen sollte. Revisions- und Redo-Eingriffe bleiben spezialisierten Zentren vorbehalten.
