Kinderwunsch, Reproduktionsmedizin und Psyche – irrsinnig weiblich?

Zusammenfassung

Ein unerfüllter Kinderwunsch stellt für Frauen und ihr Selbstbewusstsein, aber auch für eine Paarbeziehung eine große Belastung dar. Frauen tragen die Hauptlast der Reproduktion, auch der medizinisch assistierten. Es stellt sich die Frage, wie viel sie körperlich, seelisch und sozial verkraften können. Dabei ist zu bedenken, mit welchen Folgen ein unerfüllt bleibender oder ein schließlich doch erfüllter, aber mit nachhaltigen Problemen für Eltern und Kinder verbundener Kinderwunsch verknüpft sein wird. Kinder sind auch im 21. Jahrhundert häufig nur „Frauensache“. Das „Konzept der Natalität“, also das Hineingeborenwerden in eine bestimmte Struktur mit einem bestimmten Beziehungsgeflecht, gilt auch in der Reproduktionsmedizin. Im Spendersystem kann dieses unübersichtlich und psychisch belastend werden: für Spender und Spenderinnen, Empfängerinnen sowie für die so entstandenen Kinder. Worin weibliche Resilienz besteht und wie sie auch in der Reproduktionsmedizin unterstützt werden kann, ist Thema dieses Kapitels.
