Zusammenfassung

Der Anus kann von seltenen Erkrankungen betroffen sein. Meist sind es sehr häufige und benigne Krankheitsbilder, die in diesem Bereich vorkommen, die aber die Lebensqualität der Patienten erheblich beeinträchtigen und dies bis zu einem hohen Grad der Behinderung. Oft sind die Erkrankungen des Anus falsch diagnostiziert und schlecht behandelt, was unter bestimmten Umständen zu desaströsen Konsequenzen führen kann. Die Kenntnis der funktionellen Anatomie dieses Abschnittes des Gastrointestinaltrakts und des Spektrums der sowohl benignen als auch malignen Veränderungen ist unumgänglich, um bessere Ergebnisse in der Behandlung dieser Erkrankungen zu erzielen. In diesem Kapitel wird Ihnen eine didaktische Beschreibung der zentralen Spezifitäten in der chirurgischen Begutachtung und Versorgung dieser Region aufgezeigt.
