Zusammenfassung

Die Indikationen zur operativen Notfallbehandlung in der Viszeralchirurgie werden oft unter der generellen Bezeichnung des „akuten Abdomens“ zusammengefasst. Das akute Abdomen ist ein anspruchsvolles chirurgisches Szenario. Es sollte deswegen alles eingesetzt werden, um zu einer korrekten Diagnose zu kommen, die abhängig von Alter und Geschlecht sehr unterschiedlich ist. Die Appendizitis tritt häufiger bei jungen Patienten, biliäre Erkrankungen, intestinale Ischämie oder Divertikulitis treten häufiger bei älteren Patienten auf. Das abdominelle Kompartmentsyndrom stellt eine selbstständige Entität dar, die sich meist nach vorangegangener Operation oder Intervention entwickelt. Wegen der hauptsächlich chirurgischen Strategie der Behandlung sollte eine zügige diagnostische Aufarbeitung erfolgen. Laborchemische und apparative Untersuchungen sind meist notwendig und sollten sich an der Anamnese und klinischen Untersuchung orientieren.
