Part of the book series: Theory and Applications of Computability ((THEOAPPLCOM))

Abstract

For the bulk of this book, our focus has been on the theory of computability models as a field of interest in its own right, with particular emphasis on the more established parts of the subject, and with relatively little attention to applications or to other related areas of research. It is therefore fitting to end with a more outward- and forward-facing chapter, mentioning some connections with other fields and some possible avenues for future exploration. This chapter can be seen as continuing various threads of discussion from Section 1.2 and Chapter 2.
