Zusammenfassung

Die therapeutische Behandlung neurologischer Patienten mit Trachealkanüle stellt hohe Anforderungen an ein interprofessionelles Team. Für die Therapie von Patienten mit erworbenen Hirnschäden, die eine Trachealkanüle haben, braucht es weitaus mehr als die richtige Kanüle. Unabdingbar sind – neben dem fundierten Wissen über die Physiologie – auch ein vertieftes Verständnis für die Veränderungen, die durch eine Hirnschädigung verursacht werden. Diese haben oft Auswirkungen auf das komplizierte System von Atmung und Schlucken. Wir stellen in diesem Kapitel einen Behandlungsansatz vor, der sich als konzeptionell begründetes, interprofessionelles Trachealkanülen-Management versteht. Dabei sollte den Mitarbeitern mit der meisten Erfahrung und dem fundiertesten F.O.T.T.-Hintergrund auch die Hauptverantwortung bezüglich Befunderhebung, Zielsetzung, Behandlungsplanung und Evaluation zukommen.
