Zusammenfassung

In der langen Geschichte der psychologischen Beschäftigung mit dem Phänomen Perfektionismus sind immer wieder neue Aspekte oder Varianten hervorgebracht und verhandelt worden. In diesem Kapitel werden die wichtigsten Facetten anhand von vier Fragen vorgestellt: Hat Perfektionismus eine oder mehrere Dimensionen? Gibt es neben einem negativen, klinischen auch einen gesunden, positiven Perfektionismus? Hohe oder starre Maßstäbe als Kern: Steht bei Perfektionismus ein übertriebenes Streben nach Vollkommenheit im Zentrum oder ein Streben nach übertriebener Vollkommenheit? Und: Wie verhält sich eigentlich Perfektionismus zum eng verwandten Konzept der Versagensangst?
