Berührung und Nähe zwischen einem Kind und seinen Eltern fördern Wachstum und Entwicklung – so wie es beispielsweise bei Frühgeborenen durch viele Studien gezeigt wurde. Kinder, die auf Nähe und Berührungen verzichten müssen, gedeihen hingegen oft sehr schlecht.
