Zusammenfassung

Als transparente bikonvexe Linse ist die Lens crystallina hinter der Iris in der Fossa hyaloidea positioniert. Sie ermöglicht durch Akkomodation das Fokussieren von Objekten auf der Netzhaut. Umhüllt von einer transparenten Kapsel wird die Linse durch die Zonula ciliaris Zinnii am Ziliarmuskeln befestigt. Die avaskuläre Linse wird über Diffusion durch das Kammerwasser ernährt.
