Zusammenfassung
Die neurologische Diagnostik bei proktologischen Erkrankungen, vornehmlich bei Beckenbodeninsuffizienz und Stuhlinkontinenz, hat infolge der einerseits geringen Verbreitung »proktoneurologischer« Zentren mit somit begrenzter Verfügbarkeit und des andererseits zunehmenden Einsatzes der diagnostischen sakralen Neuromodulation nur einen bedingten Stellenwert und bleibt speziellen Fragestellungen vorbehalten. Bei komplexen neurologischen Fragestellungen bzw. neurologischen Grunderkrankungen, die mit proktologischen Erkrankungen vergesellschaftet sein können, ist eine interdisziplinäre Diagnostik mit neurologischer Expertise unverzichtbar.
