Zusammenfassung
Die akzidentelle Hypothermie wird allgemein meist mit Unfällen in Zusammenhang mit Gewässern, Eis, Schnee und schweren Traumata verbunden. Der klassische „akzidentell hypotherme, nicht polytraumatisierte Patient“ in Mitteleuropa hat aber nur in ca. 30 % d. F. direkten Kontakt zu Wasser oder Schnee gehabt. Etwa 45 % d. F. ereignen sich sogar in den „warmen Monaten“ April bis September. Welche Aspekte im konkreten Fall notfallmedizinisch zu beachten sind, zeigt das folgende Beispiel.
