Abstract
The input material (raw material, components, etc.) is obtained from external suppliers in batches, and the quality can vary from batch to batch. Acceptance sampling is a way to ensure high input quality. A way for manufacturers to improve the quality of their products is to establish a strategic partnership with their suppliers. This chapter focuses on acceptance sampling and supplier selection.
