Abstract
Chronic hyperplastic candidosis/candidiasis (CHC) or Candidal Leukoplakia is a clinical variant of oral candidosis, whose etiology is associated with the fungal pathogen, Candida albicans. It is the least common of the three main clinical variants of oral candidosis (pseudomembranous, erythematous, and hyperplastic variants).
The major etiologic agent of the disease is Candida, but other factors may play a contributory role in the pathogenesis of CHC.
