Zusammenfassung

Seit 1995 sind die Verordnungen der Antitussiva und der Expektorantien stark zurückgegangen. Hauptgrund des rückläufigen Trends ist die zweifelhafte Wirksamkeit dieser Substanzen. Auch der Ausschluss rezeptfreier Arzneimittel aus der Erstattung hat die Abnahme des Verordnungsvolumens seit 2004 weiter beschleunigt. Im Jahre 2014 ist eine weitere Abnahme der Verordnungen zu verzeichnen.
