Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick zu den Einsatzmöglichkeiten der satellitengestützten Fernerkundung für das Katastrophenmanagement bei Naturgefahren und für die Unterstützung von humanitären Hilfseinsätzen. Zunächst werden die dafür relevanten Vereinbarungen der Raumfahrteinrichtungen und entsprechenden satellitenbasierten Dienste auf internationaler, europäischer und nationaler Ebene dargestellt. Danach erfolgt ein Überblick zu den verwendeten Methoden und Auswerteverfahren. Abschließend werden einige der Anwendungsmöglichkeiten anhand von Beispielen erläutert.
