Zusammenfassung
Die Bildgebung des Ellenbogengelenks stellt hohe Herausforderungen an die Qualität der Bildgebung aufgrund der anspruchsvollen Anatomie und der Subtilität der Befunde. Zur Diagnostik der periartikulären Weichteile, der ligamentären Strukturen sowie auch im Einzelfall zur Fraktur- und Tumordiagnostik ist die Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) meist wegweisend und erlaubt die verlässliche Diagnosefindung. Der vorliegende Übersichtbeitrag geht auf die komplexe Anatomie sowie auf anatomische Normvarianten der Schnittbildgebung dieses Gelenks ein und handelt die häufigsten ossären und ligamentären Verletzungen des Ellenbogengelenks ab. Die typischen MRT-Befunde und Indikationen werden veranschaulicht und besprochen, auf etwaige Fallstricke wird hingewiesen. Außerdem wird auf die verschiedenen dezidierten Untersuchungstechniken und -Sequenzen eingegangen.
