Zusammenfassung
Die glatte Muskulatur spielt eine wichtige Rolle in diversen Organsystemen, insbesondere den Wänden der Blutgefäße. Zum Verständnis der pharmakologischen Beeinflussungsmöglichkeiten wird kurz auf die Physiologie der glatten Gefäßmuskulatur und auf die Mechanismen der Tonusregulation eingegangen. In diesem Kapitel werden die wichtigsten Pharmakagruppen dargestellt, die auf die Gefäßmuskulatur wirken und bei verschiedenen kardiovaskulären Erkrankungen wie arterieller Hypertonie sowie zur Prophylaxe der Angina pectoris zum Einsatz kommen.
