“Cultural Self-Awareness” and the Historical Responsibility of Chinese Scholars
A decade ago, the Ministry of Education invited me to speak at the International Conference on Infant and Child Education in the 21st Century. Since then, I have been thinking about how we should start from childhood to bring up the people who will live in the twenty-first century. Mankind has made the world what it is today, and mankind must nurture the people who inhabit it. As educators, this is our responsibility.
