History of Aesthetic Breast Surgery

Abstract

History does not record when the first breast surgery was performed, but common logic suggests the operation was drainage of a breast abscess, probably using a sharp piece of bone. It only follows that some inventive, creative thinker would later use some sharp object to excise a necrotic bit of tissue.
