Zusammenfassung
Mit der elektrischen Impedanzspektroskopie steht ein einfach in die Praxis zu integrierendes und wissenschaftlich abgesichertes, automatisiertes und delegierbares Verfahren zur Früherkennung von Melanomen zur Verfügung, welches innerhalb weniger Minuten die zusätzliche Information über den Grad der Atypie einer melanozytären Läsion bereitstellt. Es weist mit einer Sensitivität von 97 % eine sehr hohe Erkennungsrate auf und hilft bei einer Spezifität von 34 % gleichzeitig, die Anzahl unnötiger Exzisionen zu reduzieren. Zudem legen die Ergebnisse der 2014 veröffentlichten Prospektivstudie nahe, dass diese Technik auch zur Beurteilung der ebenfalls von steigender Inzidenz betroffenen nichtmelanozytären Hautkrebstypen („heller Hautkrebs“) gute Ergebnisse erwarten lässt.
