Zusammenfassung
Jede Organisation stellt die Gesamtheit der Komponenten und deren Zusammenhänge dar, die als Einheit fungieren. Um diese Gesamtheit zu erhalten, benötigt die Organisation Ressourcen (Information, Energie, Geldmittel, Personal, Ausrüstung u. a. m.), die von außen in die Organisation hineinfließen und die für die Tätigkeit der Organisation nötig sind. Im Laufe der Tätigkeit gestaltet bzw. transformiert die Organisation Ressourcen in Ergebnisse: Produkte, Waren, Dienstleistungen, Informationen usw., die dann nach außen (Markt, Kunden) abfließen, um Gewinn zu erwirtschaften. Der Gewinn erlaubt es, neue Ressourcen zu erschließen und den Transformationszyklus zu wiederholen.
