Zusammenfassung
Heterocumulene (B) sind Verbindungen mit einem Strukturelement Het1=C=Het2, in dem mindestens eine der Gruppen „Het“ ein O-Atom, ein S-Atom oder eine NR-Gruppe ist (Abb. 8.1). Heterocumulene kann man als Anhydride der Kohlensäurederivate A ansehen. Tatsächlich werden Heterocumulene typischerweise durch eine Wasserabspaltung aus derartigen Kohlensäurederivaten gewonnen. Das gelingt gelegentlich spontan, vor allem bei erhöhter Temperatur, aber im Allgemeinen erst bei der Einwirkung eines wasserentziehenden Reagenzes.
