Zusammenfassung
Sich wissenschaftlich mit unheilbar kranken und sterbenden Menschen auseinanderzusetzen, bedarf besonderer Abwägungen. Nachfolgend werden die spezifisch ethischen Bedenken, methodischen Schwierigkeiten sowie therapeutische und kommunikative Zielkonflikte, die forschungsleitend für die Palliativmedizin sind, dargestellt. Der Beitrag verdeutlicht, unter welchen Bedingungen und Gegebenheiten wissenschaftliche Projekte mit Patienten in der Palliativversorgung als Zielstichprobe machbar und angepasst sein können.
