Abstract

The North China Craton is a general term referred to the Chinese part of the Sino-Korea Craton, and it consists of Archean to Paleoproterozoic metamorphosed basement overlain by Mesoproterozoic to Cenozoic unmetamorphosed cover. The Precambrian basement of the North China Craton can be subdivided into the Eastern Block, the Western Block, and the Trans-North China Orogen. Details of the regional geology are reviewed in this chapter.
