Transdisciplinary Perioperative Care in Colorectal Surgery

Abstract

Physiotherapy, in general, seeks to maintain and restore people’s optimum movement and functional ability, across a wide span of conditions and settings, from health promotion and disease prevention to musculoskeletal and intensive care. Physiotherapists use largely physical and non-invasive approach and take into account factors that may affect the quality of movement and function. These factors can include physical, psychological, emotional and social well-being.
