Abstract

A significant proportion of patients with colorectal cancers presents with metastatic disease. The goals of the treatment for these patients can range from curative to palliative intent. Appropriate management often requires adopting a multidisciplinary approach involving numerous specialists. This article describes the clinical situations faced by these patients and the roles of the specialists that are involved in the care of these patients.
