Zusammenfassung
Der überaktive oder hypertone, willkürlich nicht zu relaxierende Beckenbodenmuskel kann eine primäre oder sekundäre Ursache von Schmerzsyndromen im kleinen Becken sein. Vaginale Palpation und perinealer Ultraschall eignen sich zur Diagnostik und Planung einer Biofeedback-Therapie. Eine multimodale Therapie ist zumeist notwendig, insbesondere, wenn eine zentrale Sensibilisierung bereits stattgefunden hat. Eine gezielte physiotherapeutische Behandlung der Beckenbodenmuskulatur, ggf. kombiniert mit lokalen, systemischen, psychologischen/psychosomatischen oder medikamentösen Optionen, erscheint sinnvoll.
