Zusammenfassung
Als Niederhuber et al. 1982 über die ersten 30 Portimplantationen und Anwendungen am Menschen berichteten, waren dabei auch 20 venös platzierte Systeme. Die Katheter wurden jeweils durch eine Subklaviapunktion in das zentralvenöse System eingebracht. Einzige Komplikation war ein Pneumothorax. 1952 hatte Seldinger die Punktion von Arterien in Lokalanästhesie beschrieben, um einen Katheter perkutan intravasal einzubringen. Damit waren die methodischen Voraussetzungen generell für solche Interventionen am Gefäßsystem geschaffen.
