Zusammenfassung
Die anästhesiologische Fachdisziplin hat im Wesentlichen zwei Berührungspunkte mit Portanlagen und -benutzung: Im Rahmen der Portchirurgie bringt die Anästhesie durch einen regelmäßigen Umgang mit Lokalanästhetika das notwendige Fachwissen über Auswahl und Dosierung der Lokalanästhetika ein, bei bestehenden Kontraindikationen wird die Fachkompetenz für die Analgosedierung oder Allgemeinanästhesie notwendig. Bei Patienten mit weit fortgeschrittenen Tumorerkrankungen wird der Port regelmäßig für die parenterale Ernährung, den Volumenersatz oder die Gabe von Medikamenten in der ambulanten oder stationären palliativmedizinischen Versorgung genutzt. Daraus ergeben sich Fragen zum korrekten Vorgehen beim Punktieren des Portsystems, insbesondere zum sterilen Arbeiten. Bei schwierigen Punktionen kann die Expertise im Umgang mit ultraschallgezielten Techniken hilfreich sein.
