Zusammenfassung

Die myeloproliferativen Syndrome (MPS) oder auch chronischen myeloproliferativen Erkrankungen imponieren mit klonaler Zellvermehrung hämatologischer undifferenzierter Zellen und gehen nicht mit den für das myelodysplastische Syndrom (MDS) typischen Zytopenien einher. Dysplastische morphologische Eigenschaften fehlen. MPS können sich zu akuten Leukämien entwickeln. Aus diesen Gründen muss eine vom MDS abweichende Pathogenese vermutet werden; daher werden diese Krankheiten gesondert klassifiziert und diskutiert.
