Zusammenfassung
Eingriffe an der Körperoberfläche stellen einen hohen Anteil an der Gesamtzahl der operativen Eingriffe nicht nur im Tätigkeitsbereich niedergelassener, sondern auch in der Klinik tätiger Chirurgen dar. Neben therapeutisch resezierenden Maßnahmen wie der Entfernung malignitätsverdächtiger kutaner und subkutaner Weichteilformationen nehmen insbesondere diagnostische Gewebeentnahmen (Lymphknoten, Muskel, peripherer Nerv) einen hohen Stellenwert in der interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit ein. Obwohl diese Eingriffe gewöhnlich unter dem Stichwort der „kleinen Chirurgie“ geführt, häufig im ambulanten Bereich und noch häufiger durch Anfänger durchgeführt werden, gibt es eine ganze Reihe vermeidbarer Komplikationen, auf die im folgenden Kapitel eingegangen werden soll.
