Abstract
The author discusses breast embryology, breast development, adult breast surgical anatomy, breast appearance, breast and cancer, breast aging, and breast life including breast and menstrual cycle, breast in pregnancy and lactation, and breast and menopause. Considering the natural evolution with aging, normal nipple position is downward gliding, on the external margins of the “inverted triangles,” corresponding to a high position in young teenagers and to a low position in elder female patients. The aesthetic perfect position is in the upper part of the triangles, close to the junction point of the external margins. Though aging is not nice, it is desirable. Everybody wants to live longer but for this one has to accept the aging appearance.
