Zusammenfassung

In der Berichtszeit standen die Bemühungen um eine Verbesserung der Methoden zur Beurteilung des Wasserzustandes der Zelle bzw. der Gewebe und Organe im Vordergrund. Als Laborverfahren für die Bestimmung des „Wasserpotentials“ ist die Messung der relativen Feuchtigkeit eines Luftraumes geeignet, der sich (bei konstanter Temperatur) mit der zu messenden Probe im Wasserdampfdruck-Gleichgewicht befindet. Beim Einsatz der hierfür vorgeschlagenen Miniatur-ThermoelementPsychrometer muß nach Barrs (1, 2) beachtet werden, daß einmal die Temperatur der Kammer nicht durch die Atmung der eingeschlossenen Organe über die der Umgebung erhöht wird und zum anderen keine anaeroben Bedingungen eintreten, die das Wasserpotential sofort stark verändern.
