Zusammenfassung

Die in 3. Auflage erschienene „Pflanzensoziologie“ von Braun-Blanquet räumt der Standortslehre wiederum den größten Platz ein. Shenntxov gibt eine Einführung in die russische, stark ökologisch orientierte Geobotanik. Die Grundlagen der Wald-Biogeocoenologie behandeln Sukachev und Dylis in einem umfangreichen Lehrbuch. Das dreibändige Lehrbuch der „Ökologie der Tiere“ von Schwerdtfeger kann auch dem Geobotaniker viele Anregungen geben. Der 1. Band: „Autökologie“ kam 1963 heraus; eine „Demökologie“ (die Populationen behandelnd) und eine „Synökologie“ sollen demnächst erscheinen. Kürzer und unter anderen Gesichtspunkten stellt Andrewartha die gleichen Themen dar. Krajina versucht eine Philosophie der Ökologie.
