Zusammenfassung

Der vorige Bericht umfaßte den Zeitraum von 1957–1960. Da seither bereits 4 Jahre vergangen sind, ist es nicht möglich, alle in der Zwischenzeit erschienene Literatur, die das Gesamtgebiet der Entwicklungsphysiologie betrifft, zu berücksichtigen. Um gleichzeitig den Anschluß an frühere Berichte und die Beziehung zum gegenwärtigen Stand der Forschung herzustellen, wurden darum in erster Linie Arbeiten des letzten Jahres herangezogen, frühere nur soweit es notwendig war, Zusammenhänge klarzumachen. Im großen und ganzen wird dabei die Richtung der Entwicklung ohne weiteres erkenntlich. Die bereits im vorigen Bericht aufgezeigte Tendenz, das Schwergewicht auf die Erforschung der chemischen Entwicklungssteuerung zu legen, hat sich weiterhin fortgesetzt, wobei wiederum Kinetin und Gibberellin sowie eine größere Anzahl inzwischen gefundener Substanzen, die antagonistisch zu Gibberellin wirken, im Vordergrund stehen.
