Zusammenfassung

Herzrhythmusstörungen gehören zu den gefürchteten Komplikationen zahlreicher kardialer Erkrankungen und sind häufig Ursache eines letalen Krankheitsverlaufes. Sowohl bradykarde wie tachykarde Arrhythmien können zu lebensbedrohlichen Situationen führen. Hierbei sind die Arrhythmien naturgemäß nicht ihrer selbst wegen therapiepflichtig, sondern wegen ihrer hämodynamischen Auswirkungen, d. h. der kritischen Verminderung der Herzauswurfleistung.
