Die Kohlensäureanhydratase** ist ein Enzym, das an der Grenze zwischen anorganischem und organischem Stoffbereich entscheidende Hilfestellung für den normalen Ablauf physiologischer Vorgänge gibt. Das Enzym katalysiert die CO2-Hydratation und die H2CO3-Dehydratation.
