Inmitten der idyllischen Landschaft, auf dem Marktplatz finden Sie einen ungewöhnlichen Gegenstand oder eine spannende Situation vor. Ihre Gedanken beginnen zu rotieren, Ihre Gefühle setzen Assoziationen frei. Es ist vermutlich nicht Ihre erste Begegnung mit Kunst im öffentlichen Raum. Sie sind fasziniert, gefesselt, suchen eine Telefonzelle, funktioniert nicht. Sie nehmen Ihre Videokamera, welche Sie immer bei sich haben, und halten den Augenblick, die Stimmung, das Werk fest, damit Sie es Ihren besten Freunden zeigen können. Leider haben diese wenig Zeit, und Sie schneiden den Film auf 30 Sekunden Länge zurecht. In 30 Sekunden schaffen Sie es, die Idee, die Landschaft, das Werk nicht nur Ihren Freunden, sondern auch vielen Tausenden von Kinobesuchern zu vermitteln.

Abstract

Imagine the following scenario. You are travelling through Lower Austria, by car, by bike. In the middle of the idyllic countryside, on the market square you come across an unusual object or an interesting situation. Your head begins to spin and emotions give way to associations. It is probably not the first time that you are experiencing art in public space. You are fascinated, captivated. You frantically search for a phone booth, it doesn’t work. You take out the video camera that you always carry with you and capture the moment, the ambiance, the artwork so that you can show it to your best friends. Unfortunately, you don’t have much time so you edit the film down to 30 seconds. In these 30 seconds you succeed in conveying the idea, the landscape, the artwork not just to your friends but also to many thousands of movie-goers.
