Abstract
Psychological studies of symbolism have for decades been dominated by psychoanalytically colored clinical approaches of an individual diagnostic interpretive nature, and by psychoanalytic and analytic-psychological interpretations of symbolic meanings of myths, fairy tales, folklore and the cultural manifestations of religion and art.
