Zusammenfassung
Für das Verständnis der Pathologie des erythrocytären Systems ist die Kenntnis der biochemischen Forschungsergebnisse über das Hämoglobin und seine Bausteine, der Porphyrine und des Eisens, von wesentlicher Bedeutung. Eine kurze Darstellung der wichtigsten Tatsachen über dieses Problem sei deshalb hier gegeben.
