Adalat and Beta Blockers; the Mechanism Studied with Two Series of Work Tests in Two Groups of Patients with Angina Pectoris
Two groups consisting respectively of ten male patients, mean age 57 years (Table 1), and 13 patients (10 men and 3 women), mean age 56 years (Table 2), with a stable angina pectoris performed standardized exercise tests after double-blind randomized administration of 10 mg Adalat and 50 mg metoprolol, respectively. Metoprolol is a selective β 1-blocking drug without intrinsic effect.
