Abstract
The surface area of the fluorescent screen of the normal 10 cm or 13 cm diameter cathode ray tubes, is adequate for the saticfactory display of all ordinary oscillograms; indeed it is for this reason that the 10 cm and 13 cm dimensions have been selected and more or less standardized. Even fine details can be observed at normal reading distance without difficulty. In special cases it may be advantageous to use magnifying glasses when making critical examinations, especially in the case of tubes with a sharp spot focus.
