Zusammenfassung

Der Umstand, daß die Therapie gynäkologischer bösartiger Tumoren an den einzelnen Kliniken bzw. Instituten unterschiedlich gehandhabt wird, wobei auch die Therapie innerhalb ein und derselben Klinik entsprechend therapeutischen Fortschritten, neuen Erkenntnissen und Erfahrungen und entsprechend wechselnden persönlichen Einstellungen von Zeit zu Zeit einer Änderung unterliegen wird, macht es grundsätzlich interessant und erstrebenswert, Vergleiche zwischen der Leistungsfähigkeit verschiedener Behandlungsmethoden anzustellen. Es ist offensichtlich, daß der Vergleich absoluter Heilungs- bzw. Leistungsziffern für den genannten Zweck ungeeignet ist, denn die Gesamtzahl der innerhalb eines Zeitraumes an einer Klinik behandelten Patientinnen umfaßt für jede Carcinomart in variablen Proportionen fließend ineinander übergehende Ausbreitungsstadien, die ihrerseits weitgehend die Prognose der betreffenden Fälle bestimmen. Gleichgültig, ob das Krankengut einer Klinik, vielleicht auf Grund regionaler Gegebenheiten, einen hohen Anteil früher Stadien der Carcinomausbreitung enthält oder ob der maßgebliche Untersucher die erhobenen Untersuchungsbefunde im Sinne später Ausbreitungsstadien zu interpretieren neigt, wird die Gesamtheilungsziffer des betreffenden Krankengutes einen höheren Wert erreichen als bei umgekehrtem Sachverhalt.
