Abstract

Results obtained in a previous paper [1] are modified to consider materials which exhibit a linear shock velocity — particle velocity Hugoniot, and for which the specific heat at constant volume is a function of temperature. Also, a method for synthesizing functional dependence of the Gruneisen parameter on strain is illustrated. A Mie-Gruneisen equation of state for water is obtained using this method.
