The Design Specification of I.F. Amplifiers
Since an I.F. amplifier, as used in television or radio receivers, contains the stages linking the R.F. stages and the second detector, the requirements imposed on such an amplifier are closely related to the performance of these parts. The I.F. amplifier must, for example, be able to cope with and to supply signals of such a magnitude that proper functioning of the R.F. stages and detector circuit is ensured.
